Dental radiography exposes patients to very low levels of radiation. At Close Dental we care about the well being of our patients and aim to reduce this even further by eliminating the utilization of conventional x-ray and reducing exposure to radiation by as much as 75%, through the use of digital imaging. Our dentists and hygienists are able to help our patients to achieve and maintain their oral health without sacrificing the health of the rest of their body.
Through the utilization of Digital Imaging, our dentists and hygienists can make fast documentation of your current dental situation and allow for an accurate diagnosis of decay and other conditions.
Digital Imaging are taken within the Close Dental practice and results are available straight away. A small sensor is placed behind the tooth and the image is transferred to a monitor where the dentist can manipulate the image for a clearer diagnosis. Images are stored in the patient’s individual computer file and the images remain on record for any further dental treatment that may present.
