Replacing Damaged Teeth
This case shows a classic problem with an over-filled tooth – regular history of chipping and breaking. and finally there is no tooth left to rebuild.
Using advanced crown and bridge treatment, the tooth is simply removed; a temporary bridge is placed immediately, thus rebuilding the discoloured and heavily filled adjacent teeth.
At the end of two to three week healing period (during which time the patient has “test driven' their new smile), a permanent porcelain bridge is constructed, creating the appearance that the missing tooth is present and growing out of its natural gum socket. |

Replacing Silver Fillings
For many years, the only filling material available was the silver amalgam filling. Research has shown this weakens teeth in large areas and is not aesthetic.
Current technology has enabled us to replace the old silver fillings with porcelain inlays that strengthen the teeth (to prevent fractures) and enables the dentist to restore the natural appearance of back teeth.
Gum health is also significantly improved as small ledges around silver fillings are removed and it becomes easier to floss. |

Gum Lifts and Porcelain Veneers
Patients with high smiles are now able to have a gum lift carried out to reduce the gumminess of their smile.
In combination with porcelain veneers, a brighter, fuller smile is able to be achieved.
The gum lift is carried out around two weeks prior to any porcelain veneer procedure. The procedure is performed in the dentists chair using comfortable numbing techniques. |

Straightening and Lengthening Teeth
Traditionally, the only option for this patient would have been braces.
Modern day procedures enables us to use porcelain veneers to straighten crowded teeth, lengthen short teeth and improve self confidence through a brighter, fuller smile.
Two appointments were required for this amazing transformation and the patient wore temporary veneers in between to confirm the colour and length that would suit him.
Only four teeth were treated yet, in combination with bleaching, a totally new smile is created. |
